About ALLEN'S PAINT & BODY

Located at I-27 Frontage Rd, Lubbock, TX 79403, ALLEN'S PAINT & BODY operates as an auto repair shop serving Lubbock in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Lubbock is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Lubbock is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I really hate putting bad reviews, but I do not want anyone to go through what I went through. The job was painting my hood and bed of my truck. When I received my truck 3 weeks later, my front bumper and windshield was sprayed white as well. All I got was "sorry about that". The other thing was my rear bumper was missing hardware and falling. All I got from Bradley (painter tech) was, "The hardware must of fell off". The last thing was my rear taillight was broken, all I got was terrible pixels on their cameras saying, "It was broken when you dropped it off". I know it was not broken because I have camera as well and clearly not broken when I dropped my truck off. The price was low but now I know why, they seem to not care about my truck. Strongly recommend not to go here unless you are low on cash and do not mind adding more issues to your vehicle.
